What did I tell you? Steel yourself hear this at least once every time you leave the house for the next eighteen months.

And I know you don't believe me, but I swear to you that some oddballs will even ARGUE with you when you reply that they are, of course, fraternal, but thank you so much for your inquiry.

You'll keep a running list of totally senseless remarks uttered by total strangers. My personal favorite was, "Twins, huh? Are they paternal or maternal?"

If you are Trey, you will come up with cutting, sarcastic replies that call into question a person's intelligence and breeding.

However, your wife will beg you to please not make a scene, and, because you love her, you will abide by this request. Most of the time, anyway.

Welcome to the club, big daddy.

It's amazing to me that people don't retain this basic information from 8th grade biology.

My brothers are twins, and get this... they are what some doctors call "identical fraternals," in that they look almost exactly alike, but were still carried in separate sacs. Little trivia: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are actually fraternal, too.

So... Uhh, yeah. Try to explain that to people who don't understand twins in the first place.

I get confused by that one too. I generally ask, "Twins, huh? Are they monzygotic or dizygotic?"

Hey, man. I just wanted to stop in and say hi. They twins look beautiful. Your wife looks phenomenal. And the dogs look cute.

You...well, somebody has to take the pictures, but it sounds like you're doing well. Hope it's not too long before I get to see everyone.

Take care.

Congrats. I know what you mean. Its like when I have my DAUGHTER dressed in PINK and RUFFLES and LACE WITH earrings and they say AWWW what a cute little boy. BOY? Do you honestly think I am DISTURBED enough to dress a boy like that? Give me a Break!

As for twins I have several sets that live near me and some are b/g twins and they got the same responses... some are same sex but look totally different and they still ask if they are identical... DUH!

LMAO Human ignorance completely amazes me. Gotta love it!!

Seriously though, your babies are beautiful. I'm sure you know that already, but I still feel compelled to tell you.

Love you guys!!

I used to babysit for two kids with the same birthday, but they were born in different years. People would constantly ask if they were twins (when one was 6 months and the other was 3 1/2!). It got to the point where their mother would just tell these people "Yes, they are twins but they were born 3 years apart." It was funny to watch people try to figure that out.

....I see dumb people...they are everywhere. They don't even know they are dumb....
